Job Details:

Per Diem / Contract

Specialties: Geriatrics / Acute Care

Shift Schedule: 8-12 hour shifts

Background, Skills & Experience

  • Must have high school diploma or equivalent
  • Must have CNA state approved license
  • Must have current CPR certification upon hire or obtain during orientation. CPR must remain current during employment
  • Specific Job Requirements:
  • Make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such actions
  • Knowledgeable of practices and procedures as well as the laws, regulations, and guidelines governing functions in acute care facilities, and long-term care facilities
  • Perform proficiently in all competency areas including but not limited to: patient rights, safety, and sanitation
  • Maintains confidentiality of all proprietary information, and or confidential information
  • Understand and follow company policies including harassment, compliance procedures
  • Displays integrity and professionalism by adhering to Signature Healthcare Professionals Code of Conduct and completes mandatory Code of Conduct and other appropriate compliance training
  • Essential Functions:
  • Lift, turn, move, position, and transport patients under the direct supervision of a licensed nurse
  • Assist patients with baths, showers, personal grooming, feeding, toileting under the supervision of a licensed nurse
  • Accurately document patient care
  • Demonstrate dependable, regular attendance
  • Concentrate and use reasoning skills and good judgement
  • Read, write, speak, and understand the English language
