Job Details:
Per Diem / Contract
Specialties: Geriatrics / Acute Care
Shift Schedule: 8-12 hour shifts
Background, Skills & Experience
- Must have high school diploma or equivalent
- Must have CNA state approved license
- Must have current CPR certification upon hire or obtain during orientation. CPR must remain current during employment
- Specific Job Requirements:
- Make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such actions
- Knowledgeable of practices and procedures as well as the laws, regulations, and guidelines governing functions in acute care facilities, and long-term care facilities
- Perform proficiently in all competency areas including but not limited to: patient rights, safety, and sanitation
- Maintains confidentiality of all proprietary information, and or confidential information
- Understand and follow company policies including harassment, compliance procedures
- Displays integrity and professionalism by adhering to Signature Healthcare Professionals Code of Conduct and completes mandatory Code of Conduct and other appropriate compliance training
- Essential Functions:
- Lift, turn, move, position, and transport patients under the direct supervision of a licensed nurse
- Assist patients with baths, showers, personal grooming, feeding, toileting under the supervision of a licensed nurse
- Accurately document patient care
- Demonstrate dependable, regular attendance
- Concentrate and use reasoning skills and good judgement
- Read, write, speak, and understand the English language
